YONEX THE LEGENDS’ VISION WEBSITE
As one of Japan’s leading sports brands and the global leader in badminton, Yonex has been the driving force behind badminton's global growth for decades. A key initiative is the Legends’ Vision. A programme that brings together the most legendary athletes in badminton. At the start of 2020, the Legends’ Vision initiative shifted gears and it was time to redesign the website to reflect the high ambitions Yonex had for the new phase of the initiative. monopo London was asked to take charge of the strategy, design and development of the new website.
CELLULAR AGRICULTURE SOCIETY WEBSITE
CAS (the Cellular Agriculture Society) is an international non-profit founded to advance cellular agriculture, the process of creating animal products from cells rather than animals. In their quest to grow widespread understanding of cellular agriculture, CAS wanted to redesign cellag.org to become a global hub on the subject. monopo was tasked with building a truly engaging entry point for people that are new to cellular agriculture.
YONEX - NEW EZONE GT GOLF LAUNCH CAMPAIGN
Yonex entrusted monopo with the global launch of their latest range of distance golf products, the new EZONE GT. The result is an integrated campaign across a range of channels covering film, print, event booth design, social media, digital display and a microsite. All assets were produced in English for global use and in Japanese for domestic campaigns. The project was a great example of cross-continental collaboration, with monopo London and monopo Tokyo working together closely to produce the campaign.
CANADA GOOSE LIGHTWEIGHT DOWN CAMPAIGN
Canada Goose tasked monopo London with the creation of a social and digital campaign to introduce their winter range of Lightweight Down jackets. The perfect opportunity to bring some light to the heaviest season, we thought. Under the concept of Play With Puffer, we played with the product and created a series of stop-motion GIFs that show a more playful side of the brand. The concept also stretched to still photography, with floating jackets, winter balloons and popping bubble-gum as a result. The campaign rolled out across Canada Goose’s social and digital channels during the Black Friday weekend.
CANADA GOOSE CITY SENSE
To drive excitement for the opening of Canada Goose’s new stores in Milan, Paris and Shanghai, we concepted, designed and produced a series of urban excursion guides. The guides helped city-dwellers experience nature within their urban confines and were available in-store during the opening weeks.
BRAND EXPERIENCE DESIGN
monopo did a full rebranding project for COMP, a Japanese food innovator that created a range of perfectly balanced food replacement products. We renewed their CI/ VI/ BI by developing a new concept, designing all the product packaging, creating a website and producing brand movies under the slogan "Completely obsessed ".
DIGITAL CONTENT SERIES
HARVEY NICHOLS X BEAMS COLLABORATION
Through our in-house culture platform poweredby.tokyo, we collaborated with iconic Japanese fashion imprint BEAMS and London-based luxury retailer Harvey Nichols to produce and direct a high-concept, six-week pop-up shop at Harvey Nichols’ London location as part of BEAMS’ historic expansion to the UK market.

DIANE BONHEUR WEBSITE AND INSTAGRAM
To promote Diane Bonheur, a new shampoo brand by the Japanese cosmetic company Nature Lab, monopo was in charge of the new brand’s website design and social media presence.
monopo initiated the project poweredby.tokyo to satisfy a deep-seated desire to faithfully brand, communicate, and give voice to the often misunderstood city of Tokyo, Japan.
A Gobelins graduate, Melanie cut her teeth at leading digital agencies UNIT9 and HUGE in London before joining monopo Tokyo in 2016. There she has played a central role in the internationalization of the agency, resulting in a growth in global business and a string of awards.
Having started his career as an advertising strategist in Belgium, Mattijs moved to London in 2012 to join Ogilvy and later adam&eveDDB. In 2016, Mattijs joined Wieden+Kennedy in Tokyo where he has helped brands like Nike, IKEA, Audi and Airbnb find their feet in the Japanese and Korean markets as Strategic Planning Director.
MASON EL HAGE
Mason is a multidisciplinary graphic designer with a passion for creating striking visuals across both digital and print. After graduating from Ravensbourne in 2016 Mason quickly learned to adapt to different industries and subjects when he became an in-house designer on the Techstars London Accelerator. Mason further honed his skills after winning a Shillington scholarship in 2019 and joined monopo London shortly after.
Having started her career at Monogrid in Florence in 2016, Stella gradually made her way North. By way of Paris, where she spent two years as Interactive designer at Octave Octave, Stella arrived in London in 2020 to join monopo. Stella's expertise in interactive design is built on a constant desire to challenge where the line between graphic and digital design lies and instead provide a provocative digital experience with every creation.
Curious by nature, Maud very quickly built up broad-ranging experience as a creative producer, having led production on everything from a television series to a short film, integrated campaigns, digital content and a COVID-proof summer of drive-in cinemas. Maud joined monopo in the second half of 2020 after moving to London from her native Antwerp.
Fred started his career as a developer and evolved into a digital producer, working at UNIT9 and Ogilvy London before joining monopo in 2019. Part-time producer with us and part-time freelance photographer, Fred has been part of monopo london since the beginning of our journey.
GLOBAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
After living and working in Cape Town and London, Georgi moved to Tokyo in 2015 to work as producer in TV, advertising and stage-management. At monopo, Georgi has been instrumental in growing international production capabilities. Passionate about bridging cultures and people, Georgi uses her production skills to bring the right international talent together for the diverse tasks at hand.
Kenta has been a core member of monopo in Tokyo since 2016 and has evolved to a global producer role with the launch of the London office in 2019. With a background in digital development, Kenta helps bridge the production resources of monopo's London and Tokyo offices.
COO & CO-FOUNDER
Shun founded monopo together with Yoshi in 2011 after having started his career in digital marketing, consulting Japanese e-commerce brands on SEM, digital advertising and social media marketing strategy. Shun has been leading the technological proficiency of the agency, keeping monopo on the leading edge of digital strategy and technology and winning coveted awards with innovation projects like SQUEEZE MUSIC.
CEO & CO-FOUNDER
Yoshi co-founded monopo straight out of school after graduating from the Tokyo Waseda university in 2011. At monopo, Yoshi has led the client and talent expansion, growing the agency to 25 staff in 2018.
