question 1

Describe your perfect holiday.

Somewhere in nature, up in the mountains, surrounded by animals. I imagine cooking for lots of people, everyone gathered together in the kitchen. I love the winter season, warm and cosy indoors, and then heading outside into the snow for long walks with my husky. My ideal holiday feels a bit like a Christmas dinner, full of close friends, good food, music, and festive outfits, where the more people there are, the better!

I know some people prefer a slower, more relaxing holiday, but I’m happiest when I can do a little bit of everything. Alongside long conversations and shared meals, I’d love to explore local galleries and markets, wander through a nearby town, meet new people, experience different cultures, and of course, always find time for a bit of holiday shopping.

question 2

Where do you turn to for inspiration?

I really enjoy looking through both old and new magazines, and editorial fashion photography will always be my favourite.

What inspires me most, though, is work that feels personal. I love hearing about people’s experiences and seeing how they translate their lives into something visual. That’s why I’m drawn to meeting new people on set and through collaborations, and why I’ll always prefer meeting people in person, having long conversations and shared moments. I’m happiest when conversations happen naturally, and I’m definitely on the chatty side. I so often find inspiration in the most unexpected stories and random conversations. Surrounding myself with people who are passionate about what they do.

question 3

Could you tell us more about this birthday lasagna tradition, how and when it started?

Honestly, I can’t remember exactly when it started. I was probably around five years old. My childhood best friend and I have birthdays close together, so we began this tradition together. I’ve carried it with me through the years in Brooklyn, Tokyo, and now as an adult in London.

What began as a simple favourite food has become something deeply meaningful. Lasagna is filled with memories, and everyone who has ever shared that meal with me holds a special place in my heart.
