Everyone in the office already knows, but I love pop music! It is so hard to pick my favourite artist, so I am going to share my top 3 on Spotify: Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, and Kim Petras. Each of them are super unique in their music style, but what they all have in common is their ability to merge pop with techno. I love their high-energy vibes that feels like you're dancing in a club at 2am.
Charli is always a game changer when it comes to music, I've loved seeing her progression over the last decade, especially with her release of Brat. Troye's transition into Queer dance music has been life-changing, love hearing his album on a Friday night. For Kim Petras, it's actually her a cappella versions of her songs that I have on repeat. Symphonic Sessions: Claws on Youtube is perfection. Must listen!
More diversity and access to design resources and tools! What I love about design is that it balances both the artistic and strategic sides of our thinking. There is not one way of doing anything, but instead, a multiverse of options for how to create something truly special. Providing access to design education for more people is essential.
With the surge of AI, when we look at the tools we are using now, we as designers need to start questioning if this is equitable. How are these tools made and by whom? What are the data sets they are using? Is the AI gender or racially biased? By addressing these concerns and broadening the community, we can create a picture of design that is more colourful and innovative.
This is my favourite question because the more you get to know me, you’ll realise that all my holidays follow the same formula! I am a warm weather person who loves to disconnect from the busyness of London. My ideal trip always involves the Mediterranean, where I can stay in an Airbnb that is just steps away from the beach. It’s all about simplicity on these holidays, surrounded by good company and making great food—home cooking only! There’s something so special about cooking with friends while hearing the sound of the waves and feeling the warmth of the sun all day. The combination of the Mediterranean waters, good company, home cooking, exploring the coastline, and spending time in the sun makes this always the perfect holiday.
