Apeiron brand identity - cover

The Apeiron Investment Group is the private investment firm of entrepreneur and investor Christian Angermayer. Apeiron approached monopo to update its visual identity and redesign its website.

As a leading investor in biotech and specifically medical psychedelics, we set out to create a “modern aesthetic for happiness” that represents Apeiron’s unique pursuit of happiness at scale.

/01 BRAND CONCEPT

A modern aesthetic for happiness

Not many can claim to move humanity’s happiness and longevity forward at scale. And of those that claim it, very few have the proof to back it up. Apeiron is bringing about a renaissance of happiness. A renewed belief that happiness can be achieved by all, if we apply science, technology and intelligence in new ways. Without bias or prejudice. The happiness renaissance is one of practical application rather than whimsy. With this visual identity, we look to own a modern, new aesthetic for happiness.

/02 ART DIRECTION

Happiness-evoking gradients meet Greek mythology

Our colour palette sparks instant happiness via glowing gradient colours. Inspired by psychedelic colours, but made more premium and modern. The colours feel comforting and soothing to create an instant emotional reaction. Philosophically, the gradient also represents the spectrum and diversity of funds and investments that live within the Apeiron ecosystem. The gradient is supplemented with Black and white as the two main accent colours.

Inspired by the name Apeiron and founder Christian Angermayer’s art collection, we integrate ancient Greek statues and graphics into the brand. The visual identity system comprises a collection of graphic elements that can be used to illustrate abstract subjects, or add visual intrigue to design compositions. This collection builds on Greek philosophy and mathematics to add a sense of science and technology to the brand. We are inspired by the different domains of Greek philosophy. Greek mathematics helps us illustrate modern FinTech subjects, Greek astronomy helps illustrate DeepTech and Greek biology helps illustrate BioTech.

We selected PP Telegraph as the primary typeface. It’s a sans-serif font borrowed from the world of science and technology, but with characterful details. Telegraf combines the forms of mid-century grotesks with rigid angles.

/03 WEBSITE

A website unlike any other in the world of finance

As part of the project, we redesigned and developed the new Apeiron website. Fully embracing the visual identity, we set out to create a website that breaks the template of what a website should look like in the world of finance.
